Recent buys ~ wish it was spring already! ♥

I've been doing too much shopping, recently. xD"

My BF took me out to go to Munich for a couple of times, where HUGE sales are going on ♥

So Gals, if you're in Munich you definately gotta check out:

~ ARICO shoestore at the main station (They're also running a clothing store at the other side of the main station, but they don't really have much to sell there. <.<) Can get a super cute pair of warm boots for 10€  ♥

~ Tally Weijl - Basically always worth a visit, especially if you're searching for sexy clothes that match Kuronba // Agejo style. They're currently having a big sale on sexy wool pullovers with deep neckline! I bought 2 of them ♥

Oh, and for all Lolitas: They're currently selling a mint colored leather jacket. Might be interesting for sweet Lolitas. ;)

~ New Yorker is currently selling a wide range of knit pullovers with crosses, that are very similiar to the ones beeing sold at Galstar! A perfect basic item for rokku style ♥

I'm very happy that I could make a lot of good deals due to those sales! ^////^

Going Kuro Lolita?

All those wardrobe posts on EGL inspired me to lay out my own wardrobe to enjoy some eye-candy. ~ xD

I don't have an impressive Lolita wardrobe, just a very few treasured pieces. It's not worthy making a post about it - but seeing my dresses laying on my bed one to another, I realized how much Lolita style has evolved the past years.

I'll focuss on the brand "Angelic Pretty" in this entry, but similiar changes also applied to the other big Lolita brands like "Moi-même-Moitié" & "Baby, the stars shine bright".

Comparing my AP dresses, the most drastic change was quite easy to see:

THE LENGTH

Left side: AP Rose Toilette OP, Release in 2007 (my "oldest" dress)

Right side: AP Little Birds Symphony, Release in 2012 (my "youngest" dress)

To make it even more clearly:

That is a length difference of 7cm! 

That might not sound that much, but when worn, it cannot be unseen. =/ 

I'm not that tall myself (1,58m), and the "Rose Toilette" fits me just fine. The seams of the dress come across my knees, and the +2cm of lace do the rest. Perfect Lolita Silhouette ♥

As about "Little Birds Symphony"... the missing 7cm do make a huge difference for me, since my knees are definately showing. It might be okay when I'm standing or walking straight (I'm not that prude that I don't want my knees to show), but when I'm bending over... thanks god for the invention of bloomers. xD" 

Anyways, that's one point that makes me feel uncomfortable. =/

THE QUALITY

This is only my personal opinion, but I feel like especially AP's quality has been constantly going down a little the past years. 

Let's take a look at the last photo again...

The Print.

Both dresses are so called "border prints", which means most of the print is going on at the very bottom of the dress. 

As you can see, the print of "Rose Toilette" does perfectly end up with the seams. Not one single dot is cut off. As for "Little Birds Symphonia", the ribbons are cut off at the seems 70% of the time, all around the dress. It's just such a tiny little matter, but for me, it is very bothersome. =/ 

The Lace.

I love the delicate lace of "Rose Toilette". ♥ It has lots of tiny details, and looks just as fragile as a perfume bottle itself ♥ 

I'm not saying that the lace of "Little Birds Symphonia" is bad, but look at the big netting, and bold lines... it also feels a lot thinner then the lace on earlier AP dresses. Don't misunderstand, it is still a nice quality lace! But definately not as beautiful and delicate as Rose Toilette. =/

The thickness of the Fabric.

I could just say "Fabrics used to be thicker then nowadays" and end this point, but theres some more to it. 

The structure of the fabric has changed as well - unfortunately it's very hard to take a decent photo of it, sorry. =/ 

While the "Rose Toilette" has lots and lots of tiny striations alongside which gives a thicker feel, "Little Birds Symphonia's" fabric is flat like an H&M shirt. And that's also how the fabric feels like... =/ 

Those points all together make me hardly consider if I should really spend THAT much money on a new release AP dress. =/

Oh, since we're already at it... here's one more point that makes me consider that even harder. xD"

THE RECENT PRINTS

It's no secret that AP has recently designed a loooot of dresses with toy / little pet animal / cute sweets themes. I'm totally fine with it, and I love the look on other girls! But for me... that's not my cup of coffee. x___X

I'm mostly wearing Hime Lolita, and I don't like to incorporate toy / little pet animal / cute sweets with that. Cosmetics, butterfly's, flowers and roses.. everything is fine for me. But none of the latest releases match my taste. Q__Q

And then... I saw this:

OMG cute Hime OP by AP! Border Print! With Chandelier! (...me absolutely NOT paying attention to the decoration on top of the advertise)

Even though I already have "Little Birds Symphonia", which is kinda the same style of OP, I was immediately craving for that! >////<

Well. Then I saw the close up of the print.

Cupcakes. Little pet Animals. On a *** chandelier. WHYYYYYYY! Dx

That really spoilt everything. Q___Q

The dress has such a nice design and the print looks so awesome from far! 

Now I'm hardly debating with myself wether to get the Ivory version one day, or not. (Second Hand, of course) In Ivory, the cupcakes and so on are not thaaaat much visible. xD"

Argh. Sooner or later I might just go Kuro Lolita. ~__~

Doesn't really solve the Quality problem, but the print issue! xD (Which is, at the moment, most bothersome for me for obvious reasons. lol)

Please let me know your opinion about the latest prints, and the possible quality changes!

I just survived a heavy case of infectious mononucleosis. x___X 

I had a strong fever for almost 2 weeks, which made my body become so super weak... still now, I have a lot of problems will low blood pressure and feeling tired and worn out ~ I had no feeling for blogging therefore, very sorry. =/

But enough of that negative stuff. ;D 

So now that we've already reached year 2013, I thought it would be fun to take a look at last years resolutions for 2012... this is what I wanted to do in 2012:

- live together with my BF

DONE. So happy about it, live has never been sweeter ♥

- loose a little weight

I actually lost 8kg, which I'm so happy about ♥

- do my driving license

I got my driving license in April AND my own car in November! Now if that isn't a big achievement for me. :´D

- try to not be as sensitive anymore

Nyah, fail. xD" I'm just as sensitive, so I'm gonna keep this resolution on my list for 2013. lol

- wear lolita more often / attend more meetups

Failed with that one as well. =/ But it'll get better in 2013, now that I have my own car. :´D Sweet freedom ♥

And that's my list of new year resolutions for 2013!

- fit into these Ma*rs pants  

(starting with size 26, hopefully fitting into size 25 by the end of year! Ò__O/):

- graduate in nursing with a very good degeree and get an awesome and well paid job

- wear more lolita and gyaru
- DIY extensions ♥

I already wanted to buy this one when it first came out in spring 2012, but I was too greedy. =/
Now I got it with a little discount, lucky me it hasn't sold out yet! ^////^

Blouse (offwhite) and halter skirt (beige)

I bought these two items seperately, I just loved how the coordinate looks! So cute, Roma-Gal ♥

I also bought a simple white knit and cute beige nordic boots in Munich yesterday ~ discount everywhere, I love Winter Sales! :´D 

I found a perfect white long pullover for a Gal coordinate at Pimkie yesterday, but apparently size S looks totally baggy on me (the sizing is really off, same happened to my friend) - I'm still considering buying the pullover and washing it very hot + tumble dry... since its a wool blend, it might shrink a bit? x__X 

Argh, whatever. xD"

Christmas Countdown ~ 34 days to go! ♥

Hey dears ♥

Sorry for the lack of updates again, but my life has been quite busy recently! ;D Let me tell you a couple of things that are worth mentioning ♥

I GOT MY OWN CAR, WOHOOOO ♥

It's just a used little Fiat Punto Cult, so nothing to brag about...

 (sorry, I just have this tiny photo on my pc. xD")

...but I'm still so happy to have him. ♥ Yes, HIM! I gave him the name "Sephiroth". :´D (Outing myself as a FF VII fangirly now... but cannot unsee the similarity of the car finish and Sephiroth's hair! *__*)

So happy ♥

The only thing that is able to make me even happier these days is the fact, that my BF is going to move into my apt. ♥ I'm so excited and happy to live with him, I just can't wait! ^////^ 

Haha, but you know I don't want to spam you with lovey-dovey things, so back to other topics. ;D

2 weeks ago, my lovely friend Shoi came to visit me! We didn't meet for almost 1 year, I missed her so much! >////< 

She asked me to style her Gyaru-ish, so I tried my best - and it turned out pretty well! I hope I could convince her to wear that style, haha! x3

Shoi already changed back into her own clothes on this photo, and the hair lost a bit of its volume... but nonethless, I think it turned out pretty well. And most importantly: she liked it a lot, and was really happy! What a wonderful day we had ♥

Of course it was the perfect occassion for me to dress up, too. =P

From checking the latest fashion mags and fall/winter collections of the big trends, I verdict some items to become really popular for fall/winter Gyaru wardrobe 2012... so I thought it would be fun sharing them with you! Let's see if my forecast will turn out to be right! ;D

Cat motives / Cat inspired fashion goods

Seeing how many icon fashion brands are already sporting this trend, I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a big deal in fall/winter Gal style 2012!

Cat's are everywhere - cat printed Tee's, cat ear hat's and beanies, cat ear hairstyle, cat face shoes, cat printed thights... and the list goes on and on.
Not really my cup of tea, but I really cute to look at! ;D

Totally fitting into the upcoming cat theme, this cat hairband is the the perfect accessory to go with cute styles ♥ Glavil does also take it's turn on this trend by sporting their absolute awesome devil horn hair accessory (which I personally like better then the cat ears).
However, it might be a bit hard to pull it off well. =/

Leather skirts

I was really surprised to see this trend, especially since I never even considered combining leather x sweet styles. But as you can see, it is working pretty well! xD" (stupid me is stupid)
The leather skirts come mostly in fall/winter colors like bordeaux, brown, beige, dark green and black now. Sweet brands are mostly producing flared or pleated skirts, while mode labels prefer the classic look and rokku brands add studs and laces to their leather skirts.

I'm not 100% sure about this trend, but I see it pop up more and more often recently. 

I find the flared sleeves totally awesome and super cozy for fall/winter styles, hope to see more of it soon ♥

Besides that, I can see a lot of "old" trends continueing. =)

Retro Girly style is still a big deal for the sweeter brands. Flag prints are still quite popular (especially the Union Jack), such as plateau heels. Beanies (of course also with cat ears. lol) will have their revival as soon as the temperature will drop, and leg fluffies/furry leg warmes are THE accessory for every Kuronba Gal. 

So much said, I'm excited to see which trends of my forecast will really become famous, haha. ;D

Trip to Oberammergau  ♥

Oberammergau is a really dreamy place in the south of Germany. If you like nature, arts and history, it's definately worth visiting! They're having a lot of gorgeous landscape, wonderful hiking paths, and never to forget - two of the great castles of King Ludwig II. of Bavaria are very close! ♥

Beautiful Linderhof castle ♥ 

 Compared to the other castles of King Ludwig II., this castle is kinda small and more like a mansion - but breathtaking beautiful nonethless! It has the most wonderful park I've ever seen! I wanna go back there soon ♥

...the big "Neptune Fountain" is located. Unfortunately they had to turn off the water that day, since they were cleaning out the fountain. xD"
I so wish I could do a Lolita photoshooting there one day! >////<

My favorite part of castle Linderhof...

...THE BLUE GROTTO. *___*
This is an artificial grotto, built to the wishes of King Ludwig II. He used it as his own private concert hall. The grotto does feature a big pond with a delicate gondola swimming on it. There's also a big artwork on one of the walls, showing a scene out of King Ludwig's favorite Opera "Tannhäuser". 

To suit this theme, the Tannhäuser Overture is played when entering the grotto...

It's like entering a dream world... beeing totally carried away by the enchanting scenery and wonderful tunes, I almost totally forgot to take photos. xD" 

I've also visited other places in Oberammergau, but the castle was the most impressive memory I collected. ♥

I love everything connected to King Ludwig II., can't help it. xD" I also read a lot of books about him already, visited his castles, and even the place he died. I guess I'm just a big nerd about him. xD" But that man was such a genius related to arts... such a dreamer.  ♥

Anyways, enough of that - sorry for the fangirling. xD"


Trip to Autria ♥

It was basically just a short trip to visit my aunt and do some hiking! =D

Aunty had this cute little Bunny on her farm ♥

I fed him fresh grass every day - such a fluffy little cutie ♥

There was already snow falling on the top of mountains - so as you can guess, it was really COLD. xD" But the scenery was really worth freezing ♥

After living in the city for 3 years now, it felt really good to return back to such a rural place again. I really love my city life, but it can be very stressful from time to time... during that short trip I could finally calm down from all that and relax a little. =)

Bierfest, YAY! ♥

My city has its own little Bierfest every year, so of course I had to go. ;D

Perfect occassion to wear out my Dirndl ♥

(I've chosen the long Dirndl that day, since it was rainy and cold outside. x__X I cut out my face since it was an after-partying-photo and I looked WASTED. lol)

My friends bought me a Hello Kitty balloon and a gingerbread-heart with "little star" written on it. Isn't that cute? :´D

Yes, we only have onesize glasses... which is 1 litre! ;D

...but I only had "kid's beer" that day. xD

(We call it kid's beer / Radler since its kinda light. It's 50% beer mixed with 50% lemonade! I don't like the taste of beer that much, so I always go for this version. ^^" ~ and NO, don't worry, we don't give that to kids. lol)

Ferris Wheel!

The Bierfest is actually a big funfair, so there area always a lot of fun rides around! The ferris wheel is always the most impressive one for me, so romantic ♥

Bierfest is a lot of fun every year, but I always leave early because I cannot stand the drunk dudes that are unable to control themselves anymore. <.<

 

Last but not least - I went to a K-Pop party ♥

Unfurtunately I don't have a full outfit picture... but the best part was my hairstyle anyways! xD" I did a fauxhawk with a hairpiece that I customized myself! 

I was so proud of it. :´D

 ...but next time I better work out the curls a little more. =/

I was wearing a black shirt, brown leo mini petticoat, black garterbelt, brown wedge-sandals and silver Tutuha-style cross necklace that day! =)
