スジ盛り ♥♥ Sujimori!!

Hey Gal's, long time no see. ;)

Today I'm gonna give a short explanation about the most Gyaru-ish hairstyle of all:  
SUJIMORI ♥

What is "Sujimori" / スジ盛り?

Sujimori is a special way of hairdo, that is very popular not only in Gal styles - it can also be seen in Visual Kei, Oshare Kei and many other japanese fashion styles.

Most important for Sujimori: VOLUME & DEFINED STRANDS.

Sujimori is probably one of the most detailed hairstyles EVER, so it takes lots of practise and time to perfect it. If you look at the following pictures, you will understand why. ;D

Sujimori can come in different styles as well! There are countless cute updo's, hairsets with sexy braids, with short hair, straight hair... and the list goes on! Here are some examples:

While Volume is a MUST for Sujimori anyways, there are HUGE over-the-top hairstyles as well! They are still very famous for Kurogyaru and Goth Gyaru! Such big hairstyles often come in different haircolors, and adorned with little feathers or flowers ♥

"Black Diamond" Gyaru-sa made those "MEGAMORI" hairstyles really famous in the west!

How to Sujimori ♥

Japanese girls will most likely go to a hairsalon to get a hairset done by a professional. It's still something special to most of Gyaru, but there are certainly girls who get a Suji done every day (I am mostly talking about hostesses - having great hair is somewhat of their job requirements, i guess. lol).

Since westerners don't really have access to hairstylists beeing capable of Sujimori, we have no choice but to do the hairset on our own. lol

For obvious reasons, this is not the easiest job to do. Making a hair arrangement on your own head is quite hard already, so creating hundreds of perfect strands for Sujimori is really tough. It takes lots of practise, time, patience and motivation.

If you still wanna challenge Sujimori, here's what you'll probably need!

- Layered haircut (MOST IMPORTANT!!)

OR

- Wig with a layered cut

- Teasing comb

- Hairspray with strong hold

- Hairties & Bobby Pins for updo's or creating fake layers

- Curling Iron / Flattening Iron OR (hot) rollers

- Hair accessory if wanted

Obviously, I am not a master in Sujimori - so I don't even wanna start giving instructions or whatever. xD

But I wanna encourage you to watch some Sujimori Videos on youtube, they're really helpful! I'd show you my favorite ones! =)

Sujimori is probably the most GAL hairstyle of all, but it requires lots of practise and EVEN MORE patience. But obviously, it's totally worth it! Sujimori is an absolute EYECATCHER!!

I already failed countless times, giving good laughs to my BF because of looking like an exploded broom. ~lol
But I won't give up trying to perfect my Gal style, and hairstyling is a big MUST for me! So Suji is the way to go ♥

♥New Look♥

I just feel like celebrating my new blog layout with you! ♥♥♥

Thanks to the help of my wonderful BF, everything turned out PERFECTLY!! SO HAPPY right now!! ♥

The old look of my Blog was way too princessy, that's no longer ME since I stopped wearing overly cute style 1 year ago... 

I wanted to have the layout more sexy and mature, and darker colors to tone it down a bit - I think it worked quite well! x3

You might recognize that the structure of the Header is almost the same as before - I just couldn't think of anything better then that, sorry. xD

During winter time, I always feel soooo lazy with fashion and dolling up... but as soon as spring is coming, it's like my spirits awake again, haha! xD

I just discovered Yumetenbo's new line "plum primo", and I am absolutely thrilled about it! I am not really their targeted group (body size wise), but I still LOVE this new concept! Finally a wide spread Gal "brand" is stepping up to cater bigger girls!! 

Girls come in all frames and sizes - and it doesn't have any influence if you can be Gyaru, or not!! Fashion is for EVERYBODY! 

And let's be honest - jp sizes run CRAZY small on most westerners. Beeing a size XS / 34 nowadays in Germany, I can consider myself VERY HAPPY to fit into a "Yumetenbo Glamorous" size M or even L (!!) most of the time. ~..~

Just to get it off my chest...

I am absolutely NOT into blogging too many personal things, but this has to get off my chest. It might explain my lack of posting now and in the future...

On 10th of March, my mom was diagnosed with cancer.
A surgery and a couple of treatments later, she is okay for the moment.

Dear God, if you can hear me... give us power, hope and patience for the upcoming time.

♥Hair inspo♥

Hey Gals! ;D

I used to be sporting my prisila hairpieces without a break - so it was kinda obvious I would get bored of them sooner or later. lol

I still love them a lot, and appreciate them for their good quality and versatility in styling - but since I changed to more sexy / rockish fashion styles, I also feel like they don't really match anymore.

I've been using my Clip-in hair extensions quite frequently recently, but they're getting uncomfortable on the scalp after a while... the pressure of the clips is very annoying, and even causing me headaches sometimes. x___X Never to forget that its quite hard to do cute (semi-) updo's with them...

So I was searching for alternatives, and I stumpled upon...

GLUE IN EXTENSIONS! ♥

It's a common practice in Afro shops, and I got 2 of my girlfriends doing this type of extensions as well... so I thought I might give it a shot as well! ;D More details and photos about that next week, when I got my exte glued in ♥ (I just ordered all the "tools" I need)

It was time to get some hair inspo therefore!

I wanna go for blonde x brown x effect streaks, but I had a really hard time to choose a color! There are so many great Gals out there, sporting all kinds of rainbow colors! ♥

Adorable ♥ One of my fav's, but I bit to dark for me atm.

Super cute! But I don't really like the look on blonde hair... makes it appear too "yellow" all over, something I definately NOT want to happen to my blonde hair...

Instantly cute, but it became too common already... even in Germany, lots of girls have pink streaks nowadays. lol

RED

 YES. My color ♥

 I think it'll match best with blonde x brown, I am so excited to see the outcome! ♥

Goshikku at its best ♥ Whenever I think about this style, she immediately pops up in my head ♥ In my opinion, there's nobody that can compare to her. You are perfection, Amihamu ♥

QUEEN OF AWESOME HAIR.

She's so perfect, I don't even know where to start. ♥ I adore her fashion style so much, there's no word for it! She never fails to motivate me to work on myself even harder (style and weight-loss), if I could just reach half of her level I could die peacefully. :´D

Even thought about cutting half bangs like her. Didn't have the balls for it yet. ~__~

She's a very well known AV Gyaru - and not only famous for her AV movies, but also for her rad style and make-up! 

Now that Gyaru style is shifting towards natural style, I just wanna kling onto Gals with heavy make-up like hers... This is how I would like to see Gyaru ♥ I absolutely adore any of her make-up styles, that heavy eyeliner is simply PERFECT ♥

I am trying to work really hard on myself, in order to become as perfect as they are... I might never ever reach that level, I am quite sure - but it still keeps me motivated to see their photos! I got so many ideas from them, I wish I could thank every single one of them personally ♥
