The L'Oreal "Style it Punky Challenge" ♥

Hi Sweethearts! ♥

I've had a quite exciting time recently, especially after I've entered a Contest by L'Oreal. Let me tell you a bit about it! ;D


Couple of weeks ago, I've found an advertise on facebook, encouraging everybody to join a Design Contest by L'Oreal.
They've recently come up with a new Mascara line called "Miss Manga" - their newest Product is called "Miss Manga Punky", this Mascara will create spiky looking lashes like in Manga! ♥

 That model looks so pretty! *__*

In order to join this challenge, you had to Design the new look of the Mascara. Left side and right side of it should feature a product related drawing.

The prices were pretty awesome! ♥
The winner Design will be printed on a special edition of the Mascara, and sold in german stores! Also the winner get's to spend 5 nights in a 5 star hotel in Tokyo.


Of course you could count me in! ;D
BUT: When I found out about the challenge, it was only 2 days until Deadline. AND I was on nightshift those days. SO EXHAUSTING. xD"

Thanks god I have the best husband in the world - he supported me with lot's of ideas, showed me tricks in the graphic programmes I used, and did lot's of brainstorming with me. ♥

In the very end, we even managed to come up with a Design each! It was such a pleasure to do this with him - We've kinda discovered a new side of our relationship, haha. ♥


1st Design - Punky Cat ♥

- Follow original color scheme
- Follow the scheme of the original L'Oreal Panda icon (that I find pretty amazing already!)
- Punky style cat with a hint of Decora fashion
- Girly Icons
- Overall simple Design

 2nd Design - Classical Shojo ♥

- Follow original color scheme
- Classical Shojo Manga character
- Main point: long spiky lash
- Flowy hair for girly look
- GLITTERRRRR ♥
- I took my inspo for coloring from PS game Persona 4 Kinda failed though. lol


Let me tell you that it was REALLY HARD to draw something reasonable on such a long, thin format! xD That was definately the most difficult part about this challenge, and I felt lot's of Contestants actually struggled with it! xD

Also, I didn't really draw since 2009... I used to have really good drawing skills when I was still a Teenager, but I lost all of my ability it seems... it was quite hard for me to get back into it in such a super short time, and produce something acceptable.
I'm definately not satisfied with my Design, but it was the best I could come up with under my circumstances.


People handed in more then 200+ Designs in that Contest, it was really awesome to browse the big Gallery on L'Oreal! Such a big inspiration! It's amazing to see how many talented people are out there! ♥

After the deadline, L'Oreal had chosen the 20 best Designs.
AND WE WERE SO LUCKY OMG! Both, my husbands and my Design, became part of the Top 20!! I was so excited that day, I almost got mad! xD I even forgot to put on my bra before I went to work. lol

Every Contestant in the Top 20 now won a really awesome Make-up Set by L'Oreal ♥ - lucky me to get even 2 of them!! x3 (Unless my hubby wants to use his Set on his own... lol)

In this Voting, you had to collect as many Facebook Likes as possible.

As you've seen, I've put up a Giveaway and advertised it on many different media. I also crossposted the Contest as much as I could, and invited family, coworkers, well almost the half hospital I'm working at to vote for me! xD
My husband spread the word all across Taiwan, China and the rest of the world. lol It's quite useful to have a native Mandarin speaker as husband, haha. xD

In the very end, we didn't make it though.

AND I've now gotten lot's of Tattoo sketch requests from our hospital's staff. lol Guess I'm not gonna leave my mark on L'Oreal Mascara, but on peoples skin instead! xD Funny turn, but it makes me so happy! ♥

Crossing borders

 Hey sweethearts, how are you doing so far?! =D

I'm very sorry for my absence, but there were lots of important things going on in my life recently! I had to sacrifice blogging therefore, I'm very sorry. =/

So, what happened?

Got my nurse degree!

I had to go through my final exams in nursery the past couple of weeks - the tests were really difficult this year! x___X (I saw the exam documents of the last years - they were such an easy bite compared to this year! So unfair! xD")

Some of the topics were Anorexia, M. Parkinson, Alcoholism... ugh, I had a really hard time remembering all the details of those! But somehow I managed, haha. I passed with excellent degrees, YAHOOOOOOOO! ♥

That's the end of my study nurse period... nothing can stop me now, I can even go to work abroad - so happy! ♥

Quit my 2nd Job!

I also quit my 2nd Job in the outpatient care service - it was very time consuming and gave me a lot of pressure (especially when the exams were coming up...)... but it was also a very important experience in my life. I don't regret taking the job at all! I got a lot more self-confidence because of it, and I also learned to work very independently. 

Anyways, in the future I'm earning enough with my full-time job only, so no need to do the extra shifts.^.^

Celebrated my weight loss!

My weight loss started exactly 1 year ago, during my summer vacation - I just couldn't stand my look anymore, so I started dieting and exercising after I saw a thinspiration gallery online. It all started very suddenly, but cost me a lot of time in the end, haha - but well, slow weight loss is the healthy weight loss, right? ;D

During the past 1 year, I dropped:16kg

-11cm breast measurement
-14cm waist measurement
-14cm hip measurement
-10cm thight measurement

At this moment, I feel very comfy with my body. I'm not stick thin, I still have some curves left here and there - but I can comfortably fit a EU 34 / XS size without squeezing anything. =)
I'm very proud of myself, I didn't think I would ever make it this far - and I'm still motivated to keep going, haha! ;D

  

MOST IMPORTANT

Oh well, there was a reason I took the 2nd Job... you might remember! ;D

I was saving up for a big 1-month-trip to Taiwan & Japan... which I'm starting TOMORROW, haha!
So that's one more thing that kept me busy recently! ;D

Tomorrow's gonna be really exhausting, awaiting a nearly 24-hours travel to our appartement in the south of Taiwan... thanks god my boyfriend is with me! He's gonna be the perfect guide during the trip, beeing a native taiwanese. ♥

I can't wait for him to guide me around!
He promised me to take me to the beach at a national park, I can't wait ♥
Germany is freezing cold already, so I absolutely can't wait to throw on my bathing suit once more! :´D It's like time travelling back into summer! :´D

After exploring Taiwan, we're gonna go to Japan for a couple of days - I'M SO EXCITED THERES NO WORD FOR IT! ♥

Even though I'm a bit afraid of taking the railway in Tokyo... Suica system is confusing me, lol. I guess I have to find out when we're over there, haha. =)

I'm gonna blow my money in 109, get a nice set of hair extensions, take tons of purikura, raid donki... and most importantly: Go to Disneyland to see their Halloween setup 2013! Can't wait! >////<

Sounds like I'll just drag my BF along, haha. xD" 

No worries, I'll make sure he will have a blast, too. ;D (*secret*)

I don't think I'll have a lot of spare time for blogging, so I might only write every once a while... but I'll do photo updates frequently! I also created an instagram account for live updates, please follow me if you're interested! =)

Weather is absolutely crazy in Germany at the moment! 2 weeks ago, it used to be sunny and warm - I even had the chance to wear a flowy spring dress! Q__Q (How I miss those days! *granny mode off ~ lol*) Then it suddenly started snowing again, and at the moment we're drowning in rain. =/

I hope it'll be warm again soon! I'm a bit sick of wearing my winter clothes while so many cute new spring stuff is sitting in my closet waiting to be worn out! xD

I'm a bit tense recently, since I'm having my big mid-term exams on Thursday & Friday! x__X
As you might know I'm studying nursing - I'm in the last year of my education period now, which simply means: Tests, tests, tests. xD"
I'll be taking exams in human anatomy (physiology & pathology), patients care of all ages (newborn to elderly), and nursing science (theory of nursing). Especially the last topic is killing my nerves, because I gotta remember the names and theories of so many famous nurses... x___X

I'll try my best anyways, can't wait to finally get my full nurse degree and start helping patients as THEY NEED IT, not following the "saving time, saving money" rule. <.<
I'll be an awesome nurse for sure! ♥

 

The best way to distract myself from those quite stressfull event is... SHOPPING, of course! xD
My biggest love and my greatest habit, yeah... but well, that won't stop me from drooling over my recent bought treasures! I don't regret anything, haha. ♥

They're a size 25, and I can already fit into them (which is a huge success for me anyways, lol) - I'm not 100% confident about the fit, though. It's a present from my BF! OMG I was wishing for that Perfume for a couple of months already, I was so super happy that he remembered! Q___Q
He got me this awesome Perfume & Bodylotion Set for White Day, isn't it cute? ^///^ I only took a photo of the box, though - I was too excited trying out the perfume after I unwrapped it, I absolutely forgot taking further photos. xD"

Everose is perfect for all girls that are into sweet and elegant scents! It slightly smells like roses, but in a very pleasant way! (Rose perfumes mostly tend to smell like good old grannys toilet potpourri... <.<)

I have the infamous d.i.a Moon Belt waiting in our local customs office atm (oh what a pleasure to go there meet my BEST FRIENDS again. ~__~ *sarcasm off*), and 2 pairs of cute lenses will arrive soon ♥ So excited to get my stuff soon! ♥

Tried a hairstyle that I found in an old Ageha magazine, what a bad choice. Unfortunately it makes me look like a horse face. x___X Oh well, at least I learned something from it. xD

Busy, busy, busy...

Title says it all. =(
I can still cope with the stress at the moment, since it is mostly positive kind of stress - marriage preparations for a close family member, decorating the room for her baby (she's pregnant), organizing a cake sale for my school (I'm member of the students council), driving lessons (kinda scary, but fun. xD), working, school, part time job... I better end the list now, it's getting too long. xD

But I'm doing really fine, and I just wanted to thank all of you for keep following my blog. I haven't lost any follower over the past months, even though I'm a terribly blogger that rarely posts anything... Thank you all so much for staying in touch! ♥

As you may know, I am a sucker for prisila hairpieces. I currently own 5 different hairpieces in the color LIYE, and I just love to play around with them and create new hairstyles!
A lot of girls asked me for hair tutorials previously, which I had to deny - as you can see in this crappy walk-through, my own hair is nothing but a big disappointment. ^^" All the magic is done by prisila!
Disclaimer: Plz excuse the weird photos, jerky me is a jerk. xD" (Flat hair after work, un-centered mid-split, weird faces... and the Sujimori has too big strands for sure. EPIC FAIL. lol)
But wohooo, I managed to loose some weight until now. :´D I have my ideal weight back, so happy! Now I can rock the wedding ceremony in my cute dress next week! xD

A short update! ♥

Hey sweethearts! Yes, I am still alive! ;D

The past weeks, I had to focuss on studying a lot - and the hard work paid off! :´D

My midwife exam!

Haha, plz excuse my crappy handwriting! The exam contained 5 pages full of questions to answer within 45 minutes, so I had to hurry a lot. xD"
In Germany, we have the grades 1 to 6 to rate the sucess in an exam. 1 is the best grade, the list goes down until 6, which is the worst grade.
Sooo... YES, I ROCKED IT! *___* *high five myself* xD
I wrote 5 other exams the past weeks, and they all went really well! No grade below 2, yessss! :´D

I admit that I neglected my driving school for the sake of my grades... angry driving teacher is angry, gotta work hard on my license the next weeks to calm him down. lol


I've been asked why I'm not doing any "recent buys" postings anymore, or if I lost interest in Gyaru. I'm flattered that there are some people even caring about that, thank you so much! ;__;
And to answer that: I still love Gyaru style a lot! ♥
I just don't have a lot of money to spend on clothes at the moment, since driving school costs me up to 200€ every month. xD"

This question made me think about myself a lot, though.
How can I say "I quit Gyaru" if I've never been one... I probably stay a gyaru attendant forever. xD" ~ I just don't have what it takes to make a good gyaru, there are so many requirements to reach.
But I feel soooo good with how it is now. I still want to try hard and improve, but I don't want to feel the pressure to fit the term "Gyaru". If I once reach the quality to proudly call myself "Gal", it'll be gorgeous - if not, who cares. =)


Enough about the whining and ups/downs of my life, I also brought some photos for you! xD

I'm having a "Fujifilm FinePix F200EXR", with the magic portrait function that makes skin appear smoother! ;) (like a purikura machine, haha!)

I recently had to clean up the external drive of my PC, where I found a lot of Lolita inspirational pics. Thanks to that, I re-discovered my love for a male sub-style of Lolita: Dandy ♥

They came up with a brandnew Lolita-themed series and a new, brighter blonde haircolor! Sad point: They don’t come in the usual prisila color range, but only in light blonde, brown and black. =(

November is busy. x__X

Hey princesses and princes, hope you're all doing well! Getting ready for christmas already? ;)

School and life keeps me quite busy these days!

I've become member of the students council, which means some extra work from time to time... and since there'll be a big welcome party for the junior students on the last weekend of this month, work doubled for me. x__X
I'm responsible for the decoration, which means a lot of shopping, crafting, and hands full of sticky glue and glitter... looks quite fancy. I mean... the decoration AND my hands. xD"

My driving teacher keeps on pronouncing that I'm the most EPIC FAIL of driver PERIOD. Thanks Robert, you keep me motivated every day. xD"
To describe my style of driving... no wait. There's no word that can do my horrible driving style justice. I'm serious. And ashamed. xD"
I'm just so scared of EVERYTHING while driving. If there's a cyclist 30m ahead of me, I already start panicking. (cyclist = EVIL. Doesn't follow any international traffic rules NOR human self-conception.) I also HATE highways. Mostly because of the trucks everywhere, and my disability of passing them. (My last passing maneuver took 2 minutes - that's at least how I felt. And that stupid truck wasn't even that long! When i finally reached the driving cab of the truck, the driver was staring down into the car, laughing his ass off. So did my driving teacher, thanks Robert! xD")
If everything goes on like this, I might get my license 2013. That's why my driving teacher forced me to take at least 2 practical and 2 theoretical lessons per week. xD"
Well, keeps me quite busy and on a constantly low budget - but I think it's worth it.
2013... never ever. CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! xD

I also got invited to a lolita meetup this Saturday, which I'm so looking forward to! But on the other hand... it leaves me with the problem that pretty much every girl has in such a situation.
I GOT NOTHING TO WEAR! Dx
I mean... not really. There´s a fine selection of lolita wardrobe in my closet, but... I want something new, an new coordination of my lolita wardrobe!
Which leads me to the next problem. The last weeks when I had some time left, I was mostly focussing on improving my Gal style, so that I can hopefully call myself proudly "Gyaru" by the next year (I still don't feel good enough yet). Seems I really lost my feeling (or maybe even the ability) for coordinating a decent lolita outfit. ;__;
Nya. I guess I'll be browsing "Daily Lolita" tomorrow during my school breaks, since that's hardly the only off time I can get the next few days. xD" This community does never fail to give me inspiration. Wish me luck. ;)

Oh yes, November is busy for me right now. So please bear with me if I can't write any comments,blog entrys, messages and such.

Even though I could improve my make-up recently (especially the eye make-up), I still feel so imperfect. I fail in the most simple things like applying blush or nose stripe, since I don't apply that on a daily basis. Hmmm, still way to go until I can call myself "Gyaru" one day. ^^"
But I'll keep going! =D
