Gal-Lolita coordinate ♥

Oh man, I´ve got exactly 12 minutes to do this blogpost now ~ my Internet access is a bit limited now due to busy working schedules. lol

But still! I wanted to do this post for long time, so I`ll just go for it now! Ò__O/

Gyaru and Lolita - those styles seem so perfectly different.
While Gyaru is mostly about beeing super up-to-date in fashion and sexy, Lolita is more on the pure side and related to the fashion of the victorian age.

But even though those styles seems so different, I strongly believe they can mix up well.
Fashion is about beeing creative and open to new things - always developing. That´s how I feel. =)
And if you´re a reader of the Ageha magazine, you surely have seen all the great Gal-Lolita attempts in the last few mag´s! (I really LOVE them!) EXAMPLE HERE ♥

So I was often imaging how to mix up my two favorite fashion styles... I have so many coordinates in mind!
Today, I wanna show you one of the coordinates I threw together (just in my mind ~ I don´t own all of the items... not yet. *__*)

Kind of... Liz Lisa Lolita? XD"

When that dress showed up on the Bodyline webstore, I immediately thought of Liz Lisa´s winter collections... maybe because of the florals? =) Anyways, that inspired me to create this Gal-Lolita coordinate.

The hairstyle is a very simple side tail. The cream colored headbow should be sitting on the roots of the tail, while the canotier is worn more on the right side.
A very important part is the eye-make up ~ to mix in some Gyaru elements. Long, dolly lashes and warm colors would be fine, I think! =D
I don´t think I need to explain the rest, it´s pretty obvious how it is worn. =3

I know mixing those two styles is a very troublesome topic, so I really wonder about this! =)

Strawbag customization ♥

I prepared this entry weeks ago, but I never found the time to edit and post it. =/
Before this entry´s going to die on my desktop painfully, I rather post the raw version now. XD" (Sorry, I`m still lacking the time for a proper, perfect post~ T__T)

Hope you´re all doing well girls, have a gorgeous summer! =D


It´s summer time now - time for light dresses, stylish hat´s, and of course strawbags! Haha, at least for me, strawbags are a big MUST-HAVE during every summer season. =)

Ever since I found out about Liz Lisa and Curvy´s, I fell so in love with their deco-ed accessory´s and bags - especially the strawbags of the spring&summer collections!

But I never got myself to buy one in the end...
Some weeks ago, I found a very nice looking and cheap strawbag at a discounter, such as lot´s of cute flowers and ribbons - and so I decided to deco my own strawbag.
(NOTE: I didn´t do any crafting since I was maybe 15 years old. xD")

This is the outcome!

Haha, quite different from the bags shown above - but I still love it to death! =D

It was so easy to customize the bag! Definately worth a try, it´s really fun - and it can also safe some money. =)
I took a few pictures / walkthrough for you, to see how easy it is to create your own cute strawbag! =D

Some of the material I used:

NEEDED:

~ plain strawbag (you can find them pretty much everywhere now, and for quite cheap! Mine was about 10€, if I remember right!)
~ plastic flowers / ribbons / dolls / whatever you find cute! =)
~ different ribbons
~ pearls or some other blingy things
~ glue gun (VERY important! You could try another kind of glue, too - but using the hot glue is the fastest and most solid way)

ADDITIONAL (if you´d like to add a drawstring closure like mine):

~ some cute fabric (I used and old tuniq that I didn´t wear for ages)
~ tape measure / pins / matching thread to your fabric / sewing needle / maybe sewing machine
~ sturdy ribbon

AMOUNT OF TIME:
Depending on how many details you wanna add. =)
My customization took me about 3 hours (mainly because of the *** sewing part. xD")


At first, I started with sewing the drawstring closure - this is an additional step and not really required. I just wanted to add it to my bag, because I feel more safe when no stranger can take a straight look into my bag. xD"

Sorry, I didn´t take much photos of this step, because I`m such a NOOB in sewing (especially when using a sewing machine. xD"). I guess it wouldn´t be a great help anyways. =/

This is the outcome of my amateurish try´s. xD"

Top: Those ruffles were added to the seems of the sleeves of the tuniq. I just cut them off from each side, and sewed the two of them together again to get one big line of ruffle.
Bottom: I cut two big rectangles out of my tuniq, and sewed them together at the short sides. Then I prevented the edges of the fabric from fraying with using a special kind of zig-zag stitching of the sewing machine. Next step was sewing a kind of tunnel on the top of the big rectangle. When I finished all the sewing, I slowly pushed a sturdy ribbon through this tunnel - to create the drawstring closure effect.

Aaargh, sorry. It´s so hard to explain that, so you may rather check some tutorials about "drawstring sewing" on the internet. =(
Sorry, but I don´t have the time to research for suitable links now, plz forgive me that! Dx

Here´s the outcome anyways!
After glueing the fabric inside the bag:
Not perfect (since not perfectly closing all the way up... lol), but still nice! XD"

After the sewing was done, I started decorating the outside of the bag. =)
I found a cute heart lace at a department store, and I just had to stick it onto the bag ♥
It´s plastic lace, so it´s easy to clean... but a tiny bit itchy therefore! xD"

Adding the lace...
I sued the glue gun to stick the lace to the bag. I glued the edge of the ribbon right behind one of the handles, so that nobody will recognize the beginning and ending of lace.
I only used small dot´s of glue every 5cm to stick the lace on the bag, to make the glue more invisible. (lace = has got lot´s of holes = easy to see shiny glue SOLUTION: only use small dot´s of glue every 5cm. =D)

Outcome...
Pretty nice, but still so naked...

So let´s add some flowers (or the cute deco that you prefer most)! =D
First, just lay the deco down on your bag to see what it looks like - don´t use the glue yet!
Just to get an idea how to arrange the deco at it´s best. =)

HINT: If you wanna glue a lot of different kind of / size of pieces on your bag, make sure you arrange the biggest parts first - then arrange the smaller parts after that. This will make coordinating your deco a lot easier for you! =)

Once you made up your mind, you can start glueing one by one...
This is how my bag came out after that...
As you can see, I rearranged the flowers - my first idea wasn´t the best, I found out. xD"

The bag´s look is pretty sweet already, but I wanted it to be more cute and princessy...So I made myself a big bow of one of the ribbons I bought before, and glued it at one corner of the bag. (You can find an example how to make a cute bow here! =D)
There was still some princessy bling-bling missing, so I glued on some different sized white pearls that I found somewhere around my house. =)
(Not easy to see them on the photos. =( It´s looking way more elegant and blingy in real life!)


FINISHED~
I decided to leave the bag like this. =)
As much as I love over-the-top deco-ed things... in this case, I prefer this simple and a bit more elegant look! =D

Unfortunately, I`m on a hiatus right now - I really need to focuss on working and studying right now, so there´s not much time left for surfing the net. ^^"

Time is flying by...

Finally I got my lazy ass up for cleaning my computers hard drive today - delating old datas, defrag... you know what I mean. xD"

I also found some old folders and files that I almost forgot... like my arts folder.
I always loved drawing since I was a little child! I spent 5 hours in front of my crayon box rather then playing out in the sun. xD" (Well, not really healthy, I confess... ^^")

I continued drawing until now, but I often switched medias. I used so many different techniques, but the one that cought my interest the most was definately digital drawing with a pen tablet!

Nowadays, unfortunately I don´t often find the time and inspiration to draw. But my love for arts and drawing will never end, that´s for sure ♥

Since I don´t have a lot of recent artworks around here, let me show you some of my old drawings as well - like a little timeline! =)

Just a very very simple sketch I drew at school - it only took me 15 minutes to draw this, but I`m still pretty satisfied with the outcome. =)


BROTHER UNDER THE SUN
Summer 2009
One of my very few colored artworks... I actually H A T E coloring, because I simply S U C K in it, as you can easily see in this pic. xD" I have a strong imagination about colors that are suitable, and also about the looks I wanna create... but I still don´t have the SKILL to do it well. =(
I should try harder to improve it, but as I said... I lack the time to do so. ^^"
That was when I started drawing with comission partners! xD" (I`m mostly doing the line-arts, my partner does the coloring)
Even though this art is very FAR from perfect, I still like it - especially the dynamic movement. Haha, and I remember that I so loved the horse when I finished that drawing in 2009! xD But in the end, only a few watchers could find it... can you see the horse? ;D


I AM THE ONE
Spring 2010
I drew this line-art for a collaboration - the topic was: "Generation Dark"
I still so love this artwork... to me, it´s the best drawing I ever made.
I so hope I can revive this skill one day... nowadays my drawing ability had decreased a lot due to less practise. =(
Of course it´s not perfect though - one more reason to practise drawing again. =)

It´s a Halloween related pic that was actually was planned to be up on my blog last october - but my partner was too busy for doing the coloration part, and I didn´t want to upload it plain black&white until now... xD"
Maybe he´ll manage to do the coloration until 31. October 2011? ;D



Hmmm, I feel melancholy now... ;__;
I should try to draw some more whenever I´ve got some time left, I guess. Will be useful to relieve stress, too. =)

I´m doing spring-cleaning right now, which doesn´t only influence my computer. xD"
I also fought against the mess in my closet (not as if it´s dirty... just a whole lot of unfolded clothes. xD"), where I found some interesting pieces that I just had to throw on again. :´D

Trying my almost forgotten half-wig hairpiece with my prisila bangs...
...turned out to look quite well when it comes to the shape. But the colors are slightly different, which pop´s out in photos even more. =(

Fell in love with April´11 Ageha ♥

Hey sweeties, how are you all doing? I hope you´re all fine, and enjoying wonderful spring weather! =)

I had far more down´s then up´s recently ~ the catastrophy in Japan that made me feel nervous all the time, a horrible working schedule, far too loud neighbours (nya, I can´t sleep more then 3 hours every night... surrounded by party people here. ^^"), and due to last point my health is badly influenced already. ~__~"
But it´ll be getting better by now, I´m sure. Best time of my life will start on 23rd April - 4 weeks in heaven will start then! lol (I´ll keep it a secret for now, but be sure that I`ll let you know about it soon. ;D)

I´m already planning on some Reviews now! On my list are topics like "erokawa undies" (where to buy, where to get big sizes suitable for western breasts... lol), "One day tattoo: real lasting eyeliner" (as far as I know, it´s Sakurina´s fav. eyeliner. o.O), and "heavy deco-ed nails" (where to buy cheap and nice quality).
Also thinking about a giveaway, but I gotta collect some items suitable for summer time first. =)


As for now, I wanna talk about April´11 Ageha issue! ♥
I wanna be honest... the last issues of Ageha were quite boring to me. =(
I don´t get the hype about mode gyaru, and all those super simple hairstyles. Even the make-up tutorials are starting to look all the same to me. =(

I didn´t expect much from April´s issue, therefore.
Then more happy I was when I read it! :´D
I´m so crazy about all the flowery, warm colored spring wear! So many big hair tutorials again, even some hime-vibe coming from it! AND... a big section of gal lolita!! :´D

I often saw coordinate combinations of MA*RS and Liz Lisa items, it goes so well together! (Especially MA*RS dresses and cute Liz Lisa boots/sabot!)
I was already shopping for some items, hope they´ll arrive soon. x3


High waisted denim jeans
I was working with little kid´s at a psychiatry hospital for the past months, which made it quite impossible to wear skirts. xD" (also because of the kind of diseases some of them had. ^^")
I´ve never been a pants person, but now I really got into it somehow. o__O"
Those high waisted jeans are really an eyecatch! I´ve already seen them up for sale last year, but I never really bothered about them (if I remember right, they were often featured in popteen magazine). But now I would so love to get a pair of those!
I´ve got a more sophisticated business gal look in my mind... Tight white blouse with deep collar, high heeled black sandals with gems on them, and a black clutch. Works out well in my imagination, I hope the final look will do so too! xD

I had a gorgeous time working at the kid´s psychiatry! (I was working with 4~8 year old kid´s with deep mental disorders) It was very exhausting for body and soul, but also so much fun and so lovely! Kid´s are so pure and honest...
When I had to leave the hospital, I got all those cute presents - and of course, started crying. xD"
I got a big white rose with a bunny doll hanging on it, lot´s of letters and drawings (only 3 of them showing here), and a little plush dog... ;___; (This dog doll was sitting on the bed of a little boy every night, to protect him from monsters during the night - he loved this little dog to death, but still he insisted of presenting it to me. I got so touched by that! ;__;)

And the price they charge for doing UV nails seems to be really fair... I guess I´ll go for that! o.O

My heart is with all of you!

I got to know all the bad news about earthquake & tsunami after work today... and I was shocked (my body even started shaking) - fortunately, my sis was with me to calm me down.

I´ve got many friends in Japan and overseas, so my brain was rushed with sorrows. Meanwhile, I managed to contact most of my friends - thanks god, they´re doing pretty okay according to this situation.
The stories they told me are just beyond horrible, and far more serious then what german medias tell.
Mai chan: "It felt like an apokalypse movie, but this time it was reality"

I´ll try to reach the rest of my friends now, hopefully it´ll work out now.

I didn´t make a serious prayer for long time, but tonight I´ll pray for all of you, for your family´s, neighbours, and all the people you treasure. Please be well and be sure my thoughts are with you! (It might not help you at all, but still...)

H&M finds!

I´m doing quite bad now... so it was time for some window-shopping.

I found some random stuff on H&M that remembered me recent gal trends, and so decided to share it with you. =)

Remembered me of one of Tsubasa´s latest coords so much! Mostly because of the big "M" emblem, I guess. xD"

The jacket definately has got the "school-girl" vibe, but I´m not sure if it´s as flattering as the light cardigan that Tsubasa is wearing - I didn´t see the jacket modeled yet, unfortunately. But might be a nice fit, I`ll definately try it on during my next visit at H&M! =)

This style of shoes have already been famous amongst japanese Gals for about 1 year ago, if I remember right. Liz Lisa released a lot of shoes in this style - I´ve seen some with lace and flowers deco, and also some pairs with lovely fluffy fur! =)

I´m not sure if this is new to you, but...
H&M is selling usamimi hairbands for quite a while already.
(You get a set of 2 usamimi. Those hairbands are also sold in grey colorways! ^^)
I got those two, they´re really cute!

These usamimi are even cuter, don´t you agree? :´D
This lovely millefleur design is so sweet! Sold @ yumetenbo. =) (But they might be sold out already)

I`m so sorry for the lack of updates, but I have to work very hard recently. I`m having a super important practical exam on Thursday - I can´t even find words for how scared I am. ;__;
(Normally, I don´t have problems with exams. But this is an practical exam, so my teacher will watch every movement I make, and take notes until she´s out of paper to write on... no wonder I`m nervous. ;__;)

Still, I don´t want to abandon my blog perfectly. ;D

I love the bling so much! *___* So many things on it that suit my lifestyle and preferences, like a little bottle of nailpolish, a crystallized Kitty, a big rose, a princess crown... ahhhw, I could stare at it for hours and still find new details to fall in love with! xD

I spent most of my money on furniture recently, since I didn´t feel comfortable with my bare appartment anymore. =/

Anyways. Did some promotion for a local bakery on that day, I gave sweets to passangers. xD" (That´s why I wore "Melty Chocolate", fit´s the theme! ^^)
Even though it was only a 2 hours or so job, I felt kind of uncomfortable. I´m actually too shy to talk to strangers, even though I mostly got positive comments about my appearance. ^^"
But since it was a paid job, I did my very best to cover up my shyness, and I think it worked out pretty well. Got lot´s of positive feedback and a huge package of my favorite choco-banana flakes from the bakery owner in the end! x3

Btw... kind of lol: I wore the wig in the wrong direction. The split is meant to be on the other side.
And stupid me always wondered why the wig isn´t looking as soft and poofy as usual... xD"

Upper lashes = Dolly Wink No. 2, Sweet Girly
(LOVE THEM! But not as much as my Sweet Dolly ones. x3)
Lower lashes = Dolly Wink No. 7, Vivid Pop
(Very dramatic lashes! O__O" I still prefer the Baby Cute lowers.)

It´s still hard for me to draw the lower lashline. I mostly end up beeing way too far from the natural lashline, which looks simply horrible with the shape of my eyes. xD"
But I guess I did a good job this time!
(Btw. I also heard the trend goes from tare-eyes/hung down eyes to cat-eyes now. Kind of sad for me, since tare-eyes do immediately give me the Gal feeling when I see other girls/models pulling it off! =/)

Ahhhw... I re-discovered my love for this style.
I started Lolita with wearing this style long ago, but then I hopped onto the Sweet Lolita train. xD"
I´ll definately go for more dark colors now, and try a Kuro Lolita outfit next! x3

Wore this outfit for a photoshooting, theme was: "Black Swan"
"Black Swan" is the name of a movie that just started beeing aired on german cinema´s yesterday! Very impressive and scary story, it´s about a ruthless ballet dancer! She´s so beautiful but yet so cruel... I really have to watch this movie as soon as possible! x3 You can get more info about the movie here!

I tried to keep the eyes less dramatic, because I got the feeling... heavy gyaru style make-up and gothic lolita are not a perfect match. I rather wear it with sweet and dolly outfits. =)
But that´s just my taste. x3
